87 Acts
of Kindness

On August 7th - the day Manny was born, and the day he left - we do 87 acts of kindness in his name. August is the 8th month. The 7th is the day. 8/7 is 87. That's the whole thing.

Why 87

A number that means everything.

Manuel Michael Rodriguez - Manny - was born on August 7, 2008. He arrived at 30 weeks, four pounds, in an emergency c-section. His father Sam was there. His mother Stacey was under anesthesia. In the moments that followed, Manny opened his eyes. He only knew love.

August 7 is 8/7. And 87 is August 7th. So every year on that date, we do 87 acts of kindness - for him, in his name, in his honor. Acts big and small. Acts that cost nothing. Acts that change a stranger's day. Acts that remind us he was here.

We started in 2011. We haven't stopped.
